Our Impact

Making our business circular by creating opportunities and community for artisans

Because of that very first moment our Founder/CEO, Lara, stepped into Chateau Fontainebleau and Chateau Versailles all those years ago, it’s been a passion of hers to help restore these heritage sites and the art within. To date we partner with several organizations doing restoration work on castles and museums throughout France. When a castle or any ancient building is being restored to its original architectural glory, artisans are hired to do the work who are skilled in traditional methods from when the original was built. This means, not only is there work for skilled artisans, but there is demand for artisan skills & knowledge that may otherwise become a lost art if not for these projects. One of our restoration projects in a medieval castle is even building an artisan forge for artisans to work in and to educate the public on these traditional methods!

We also partner with organizations who are working to restore and document works of art.

In 2022 we launched our global initiative: The Sustainable Artisan Guild. The focus of this initiative is to grow community, resources and knowledge around the area of sustainability within artisan studios and businesses. With a community committed to learning how to do better and starting where they can, we can make big changes together.
